Shimano Alfine 11 speed hub - the car park test

So what's it like to ride? well, we put in maybe a mile or two of riding so it's far too early to talk about durability and efficiency and things like that, but in terms of ride feel, make no mistake: this is a massive step up from the Alfine 8 hub. In fact it's such a dfferent beast that one of the most-asked questions at the launch was why Shimano has chosen to associate it with the eight-speed hub by giving it the same name; we didn't really get a good answer to that one, but we did get an honest one: "we're better at engineering than marketing", was one reply!
Why My Screen Name is Kona0197…
Well my screen name breaks down into two reasons why the name came about.
The first reason is because I owned a 1996 Kona Lava Dome mountain bike. It was bright orange metallic. 21 speeds. Complete Shimano STX group. The this day I miss that bike and have not found one as nice. So far it is the best I have ever owned. So that’s where I get the Kona part of my name.
The second reason is because I had a cell phone back in ‘99 that had the digits 0197 as the last 4 digits in my phone number and I like that number arrangement.
How many ball bearings are in the freewheel part of the hub on a 26" shimano mountain bike?

There are ball bearings in bulk in the freewheel mountain bike. Does anyone know how to go there? I removed 2 mountain bikes to make an electric bike. Now I'm one back together and I have 2 games, but I lost a little of each together and he leaves me no clue. These are the door below the Shimano freewheel locking nut ... turnover are not cowards underneath. Thank you!

ok this is simple. IVE participated Shimano hubs a few and they were either 9 or 11 bearings each side.
