Yeah as most of you know i’m a closet (or open) Bike Nerd. I build them, ride them, work on them, all day/night… winter/summer. Whatever. I used to be hardcore into Volkswagens (still am, just no time/money for it at the moment… you know the whole music thing, etc.) So bikes satisfy that “work on something at all times” craving that my restless hands have.

So… this bike is my baby. I’ve owned it for about 2 years, it was my first “fix up” and i abandoned it. I got it back 2 months ago and just decide to say Eff all the fixed gear stuff, Eff all the cyclocross stuff and I just wanted a simple all around town single speed (with brakes) cruiser.  I wanted to make it a bit challenging so I didn’t spend ANY money on this and luckily the wonderful folks at Velocipede Bike Project had all of the random parts I needed and/or I had them lying around my apartment from the previous few bikes i’ve owned/built. [I did spend $20 on the single speed casette, but i swear that was it!)
