Alright. here’s the rundown of day 1.

last night was the first night i got a legit amount of continuous sleep and didn’t feel uneasy when i got out of bed. definitely a nice start to the first day of school. i wasn’t sure how long it would take to bike to my first class so i left about 25 minutes early, got to campus 15 minutes before 11 and headed over to UTC for class #1. when i got there, there were a bunch of people standing outside the door even though it was 10 minutes before class. i asked the girl who was standing right by the door, “hey are there still people inside?” “yeah” she responded with an attitude. the class doesn’t seem at all bad… i just hope that it isn’t a repeat of the things i’ve already learned in my previous linguistics/anthropology classes. Professor Stross seems like a funny guy, although he uses words that are just a little too big. i don’t think it has much to do with my intelligence – people who just string unnecessarily big words together sound like they’re bsing everything. i hope to be able to pay attention and ace this course, especially if a lot of the subject matter will include points i’ve gone over before.

Stapleton is not involved directly with the new project, but sources confirm that High Road Sports will support the squad in some way. High Road Sports owner Bob Stapleton shuttered the HTC men’s squad in early August after his title sponsor search bore no fruit. Sources would not disclose a specific roster for the new squad, but did confirm that a significant portion of the core of the successful HTC team had signed. “The project is pretty unique,” said a source familiar with the team, who asked not to be named because details of the new squad are not yet finalized.
