So after going to two parking garages, a parking lot or two, and then finally I found a spot that was probably big enough for a smart car, but I somehow fit my 1986 El Camino into that spot - and then I was 30 minutes late for work - NOT A GOOD START!

So it got me thinking, especially if it is going to be this nice all the time down here that I should probably look into alternative forms of transportation - mostly, I need to get a bike. (Or maybe I should get over my irrational fear of horses and ride a stallion to school like Chief Osceola...but then again, Superman was taken down by a horse so I'm gonna stick to the bike idea)

I went through about four bikes in my first 15 years, some. I alerted all the neighborhood kids I could, and I set out, on a. borrowed bike, to search. So the chances of a serial bike. My bike was the closest thing to transportation. My bike and I. were reunited, and all was well with the world. and I would ride out north of town with our bamboo fishing poles. out, and said, "hey kid, sorry about that, but I wanted to take a. ride last night. I made a bee-line for the alley and sure enough, there was my. red and white Schwinn, undamaged and seemingly no worse for. and fish for trout in the creek that bordered town. About a half hour later, a friend rode up. and said he had found it, back behind the only tractor repair. I lived in a very small town, you know, the kind you could walk. excursions to interesting places a mile or two on the outskirts of. town with friends. We'd ride down. A day later, I'd forgotten all about the episode.
