Because I’ve only been living in the Bay Area for a few months, I haven’t had much of a chance to experience the bike shops here. Most of the little things that happen, like flat tires and minor adjustments, I handle on my own, or with the help of the trusty boyfriend (who came from the boyfriend store complete with a full bike shop’s worth of tools). But I realize that not all the readers of this blog will have such a handy person in their lives, and sometimes when really big stuff happens to your bike, or you decide you need a new one, well, you just need to go to a shop.

Car found after accident: Police said a car was reported missing from the 5300 block of Chew Avenue Sunday but was recovered on the 6300 block of Ardleigh Street after a car accident. Man hit in head with hammer: A man told police his stepson hit him in the head with a hammer during an argument. Television, laptop, jewelry taken: Police said a woman told them she left her home on the 1000 block of West Cliveden Street locked Sunday but when she returned home her door had been pried open and her laptop, TV and jewelry had been stolen. Wine bottle used in assault: A woman told police her ex-boyfriend hit her with his fists and struck her over the head with a wine bottle on the 6300 block of Crittenden Street Sunday. The man was taken to the hospital, according to police, while the stepson was arrested on the 6300 block of Chew Avenue Sunday.
