Downhill Mountain Bike

GYMPIE downhill mountain bike competitor Jacob Reeves is not particularly fond of the standard relaxing holiday.

Instead of lying back with a cold drink by a pool at some exotic resort, Reeves instead used his latest time off from work to take his love of downhill mountain bike racing to an entirely new level.

Reeves teamed up with good mate Jamie Lee Feurve, of the Sunshine Coast, for a three-week driving journey of 6000km to compete in bike races.

We started out last again, but with good reason this time. As Dave and I took up the back of our group on Tuesday morning, I explained to him how it wasn’t the quantity of last night’s beer that was hurting us, but rather the quality. Had we been drinking something more fresh, cleaner and…well…better, we wouldn’t be feeling so bad in the morning. He agreed and we continued to pedal our faces off for the remainder of the day. Only with less stopping, as compared to Monday. Our hangovers evaporated as the day went on, and as we pedaled through more amazing country. Our group maintained a fast pace once again, and occasionally I was able to take my eyes off the wheel in front of me to enjoy the absolutely amazing scenery.

I just recently bought a new Trek 4300 with disc brakes and I've been riding the crap out of him.

The SLX crank that Edward is a great suggestion and they are very difficult.

I want a mountain bike very good run, I'm 6'4 "230 pounds. This is a good bike for someone my size? Where is a good place to buy?
