Brownsville's only bike shop to reopen under new/old ownership
Posted by Brownsville Herald on 05.02.10
With all the yellow paper on the windows and the "store closed" sign, a passerby couldn’t be blamed for thinking Bicycle World of Brownsville had ridden off into the sunset.
But that’s not the case. The city’s only bike shop will reopen with new owners around mid-February, according to Kelly Roberts, one of those new owners along with her husband, Henry, who’s busy remodeling the store for a fresh look.

sales to start 2010
The iconic US cult bike maker Harley Davidson is set to enter Indian markets tomorrow, two years after it was first granted permission to start operations in the country. Sales will, however, begin only by 2010.
Harley Davidson was first granted permission to start operations in India in 2007 but it had to keep its plans in abeyance because of a crushing import duty of over 100 per cent. However, two years hence, the cruiser’s popularity seems to have far outweighed other considerations like price, which is expected to be multiples of lakhs.

Cruiser bike?

I'll buy one of these bikes to the old cruiser, and I was wondering about the brakes. What type should my motorcycle handle bar brakes or the brake pedal?? I can not decide. Also, I have some bike point of view, but if you know a place that sells cheap, could give me a name or website? Thank you very much!

Usually a single speedboat is a coaster brake, and a multi-cruiser at high speed would hand brakes. This is unless you get a newer, more expensive one with Nexus hubs, but it does not sound like you are. I would make the decision based on the amount of gear you want. If you are riding when it is flat, get a single speed with coaster brake if you need gear hills, get a 7 speed with hand brakes.

Coaster brakes do not work as well as the hand (RIM) brakes normally. However, if you randomly rides since the bike is designed for, I would go to coaster. The look is much smoother and cleaner than having levers, cables and brakes' grip on the bike.
